"Very disappointed"

About: Rowley Regis Hospital

My mother recently spent a week in Rowley Hospital.

I was very disappointed with the care she received.

She was unable to feed herself and the staff did not have time to feed her, she had no hot drinks apart from the ones I took her. No one had any explanation why she had been put in a side room or what was wrong with her. Evidently when you get to 95 you become a burden on the NHS.

Response from Rowley Regis Hospital

Hi Rachelle, I am really disappointed to hear about your mother’s experiences that fall well below the standards we expect. I would like to look into this further so that we can make sure we learn from your experience of our care and put things right. I would be grateful if you could email our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) at swb-tr.pals@nhs.net with your details. One of our advisers will contact you to look into this matter further. I am sorry for the care you received and I wish both you and your mother well, Toby Lewis, Chief Executive.
