"Breast Cancer Unit and Oncology"

I was diagnosed end of October, had an operation to remove my tumour mid November and started radiotherapy in January and I have nothing but praise for the care I received and continue to receive. I recently attended an after care session and found it very useful as there were some aspects of the after care treatment that were clarified and unfortunately were not made clear along the way. It can be very daunting going from a series of everyday treatments with the caring staff at every step to suddenly being waved goodbye with a follow up which is not quite as expected. So it was very useful to have the process clarified and offer a solution to others. So my thanks go to the lovely nurse in the day care for my op (I can't remember their name but they did a lot of running they said) as they were great; all the people in the receptions areas who may not get mentioned but also do a sterling job in what is quite an unsettling time; the nurses in the breast unit carrying our the scans and mammograms; the lovely radiologists ( sorry no more biscuits unless you have the misfortune to see me again), all the doctors in Oncology who have to put up with my endless questions and to my breast cancer nurse who has always been on the phone with reassurance and advice. Thank-you as without you all I may not be here now
