I spent all of May 2016 as a patient in the Acute Stroke Unit. I was incredibly impressed by both the level and quality of care and support provided, particularly as the NHS is so often portrayed in a negative fashion. From the carers through to the consultants the staff have a really friendly and positive approach, fully taking into account the patient' s concerns and worries. Each staff's area of expertise was respected by their colleagues demostrating effective team work. Not only were my physical issues addressed but account was also taken of how my stroke had affected me as a person and also my family. At a difficult time my hospital experience was very positive.
"Acute Stroke Unit - team work at its best."
