About: Crosshouse Hospital / Accident & Emergency Crosshouse Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I fell off my bike and injuring my knee. I went to Crosshouse Hospital Accident Emergency and the next day attended the Acute Fracture Clinic and was advised that nothing was broken although there was severe tissue

damage to my left knee. I was given a splint and crutches. I attended the physiotherapy clinic  and was discharged. the staff and the care I received were great

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Morrid,

I am glad you did not break anything your knee, or anything else for that matter (as luck would have it). Thank you for taking the time to post about your care, I will pass this on so the team is aware of your appreciation.

I believe tissue damage can be painful too but I hope you heal quickly.

Best wishes,

Eunice
