"The nurses were polite and hospitable."

About: King's Mill Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

The nurses were polite and hospitable.

What could be improved

The doctor was VERY arrogant! He made it clear he was a qualified doctor and noone elses opinion mattered and didnt care what anyone else had to say. My mum who is 35 was also placed in a ward with 70+ year olds who were having blood transfusions ect and she was there for nothing serious just a 1 night stay, she had flu (could possibly be swine flu, not confirmed or even suspected as we didnt mention it, but was showing majority of the swine flu symptoms) so as the older people around her would have very low immune systems they would be succeptable to anything flu or swine flu or anything.

Anything else?

In general just not a very good hospital, definately would avoid this hospital and go to others if i had the option if i ever need to go into hospital!

It is difficult to address these issues without patient details. We are very sorry that you and your mum are not happy with her recent stay and we would be happy to discuss your concerns in more detail - please call our Patient Advice team on 01623 672222.
