"A&E staff Nurse"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary

My Mum She's 89 "you know" fell and broke her arm in 3 places and was taken to A&E on The night of Thu 30th Jun went into the ward Fri 1st Jul 2016. A&E was v.busy the staff nurse was rushed off their feet. There was another patient elderly with a broken hip. Who kept on getting out of the bed don't know how. The staff were excellent but being selfish the attention and how lovely they were to my Mum prompted me to write this. The attention, care and patience they displayed but especially the staff nurse. Full of smiles and happiness although working a 12hr night shift. I felt my Mum would have been looked after respected even if the her children had not been there. It was reassuring to see Staff Nurses who care, work hard and yet smile, and are professional. I can not heap enough praise on this Nurse. Preempted things that my Mum would need like a special bed and when they spoke to her it was like a caring and understanding daughter. The staff nurse had the best interests of all the patients on the ward yet never got flustered. My Job has pressures and is intense but if I make a mistake no ones life is at risk. So thank you DRI A&E and thank you to the the staff nurse for making me feel / know my Mum is just as special to the A&E and you as she is to me.
