"Needed emergency care for amputated finger"

About: Wexham Park Hospital

I amputated my middle finger with the electric hedge trimmer on 21st may and was taken to Wexham Park Hospital to emergency who attended me ASAP and confirmed I would not lose my finger which was such a relief. I had an xray as finger was fractured and stitched my finger back on after giving me a local anasthetic and released within 4 hours. I had to have hand surgery 3 days later and the all the staff at the theatre were so caring and very supportive.

Since my operation I have been having weekly treatments for physio and again the staff have helped me so much to recover and get my hand back into action.

Recovery has been a long process but without all the care and support i received I would not have made the recovery.

Thank you so much to all the staff at WPH - I owe you all big time.

Dear Kawinder

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback on your recovery since May.

It must have been a very difficult time for you and I'm pleased to read that you have felt cared for and supported along the way by our staff.

We are very proud of the teams, and they do their best every day to treat people as though it were a member of their own family in front of them.

Feedback like yours makes it all worthwhile.

Kind Regards

Claire Marshall
