"Poor service"

For a community mental health service I find it shocking that at the moment they do not have a doctor working there and they do not know when they will get one. They just reply lack of funds and resources. . This lack of care should be looked into urgently

I am sorry to hear that you have been informed that there is no doctor at this service. We have liaised with the senior management team who have clarified that they have had a full time substantive Associate Specialist for over a year. In regards to consultants, one consultant retired in April 2016 and the newly appointed substantive consultant starts on 03/08/16. In the interim we have had agency locum consultants to cover this period. We do appreciate that continuity is vital to service users so the team are very pleased to have appointed substantively, as nationally there are significant vacancies in consultant psychiatrist posts. I hope this reassures you, but if you have any other questions, please do contact Dr Jason Read on 01903 845767 to discuss further.
