In April I got a referral to Queens Dermatology dept. I called the appointments line and got the first available date which was the 2nd August, it seemed like a long wait but accepted that was the way it is nowadays,

On the 12th June I received a letter informing me my appointment had been cancelled and I would be contacted with a new appointment. This did not happen but on Saturday I had a letter from the appointments line asking me to contact them as I did not have an appointment booked. I called them to do this but was told that as the Hospital had cancelled it on the 10th June they should have sent me a letter within 10 days with a new date. They suggested I call the department to sort this out. On Monday 27th June I tried calling but could not get through on the phone so decided to go in person to the Hospital to see why I was still waiting.

I showed the receptionist the cancellation letter and asked if they could look up what my new date is. They did look me up only to inform me that there was not only no appointment for me but that I had been shown as discharged. How the hell can they discharge me when no treatment has been given and that I needed to return to my GP to sort this out. No Queens you have made this mistake you should sort it out, the GP's are under enough strain without having patients having to waste their time taking appointments for issues they have already dealt with.

I think this is disgusting service which needs addressing immediately.

Please can someone contact me with an appointment and not excuses,
