I live iIn Leicester but came to Derby because of the consultant I have been seeing. Having only experienced the Leicester Royal i can only say how suprised I was at the efficient manner in which I was seen. No problem parking, when entering the hospital i was helped by a staff member to send me in rhe right direction. At the department. Specialist outpatients dept i was asked by a lovely caring volunteer if I would like a drink. They also cleared up a spilt drink on the floor from an old lady with issues with no fuss
What a great advocate for the department. I was seen by the consultant before my appointment time. I then went to blood test dept steered by the helpful person in the corridor, were i took a ticket and waited. I was a little put out when a member of staff came in after me and asked if they could jump the queue however i didnt get too upset as the receptionist took them and did the blood test themselves instead of putting them in front of the rest of us. I waiited only 10 mins then off to xray. Didnt have a wait Straight in to xray to b seen by a student radiographer. Lovely person. All that i met today a credit to the hospital. At the Leicestet Royal it seems so busy and stressful. It made a nice change. Well done
