"follow up"

7 weeks since I had biopsies taken and despite 2 phone calls I still haven't had a letter with the results or a follow up appointment. I trust no news is good news but the hospital says you will hear within 4 weeks. What has gone wrong here?

Does the hospital need better clerical support as the only letter I did receive took 4 weeks from dictation to receipt by me the patient - I had an outpatient appointment before I knew I'd been referred!!
