"When I used out of hours"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Patient Transport Service

(as the patient),

I had to use transport to get to the out of hours surgery as I wasn't well that the driver was very cheeky and didn't offer any help he wouldn't even wait till I had finished being seen I had to tell the receptionist what had happened and she had to phone another driver to pick me up and take me home he was much more friendlier and more helpful and care I was given was ok.

Dear james23220,

I am sorry to hear you have had a poor experience of the Patient Transport Service and I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

The Patient Transport Service supports patients in attending outpatient departments, treatment centres and when being discharged from hospital. Unfortunately, the scenario you have detailed is not familiar to me as we do not currently transport patients to Out of Hours GP services.

I am sorry that I am unable to provide a more detailed response to your concerns, however please feel free to contact me directly via email, cconroy@nhs.net or phone on 0141 810 6101.
