This was my first NHS hospital inpatient stay since 1984 (when I was 10) although elective this time. I was resident in the Neuromuscular Complex Care Centre.
The staff could not have been more helpful and explained what tests were for if I didn't already know and travel home was also arranged for me. As the centre has a relatively high staff to patient ratio (3 staff at least and no more than 6 patients), there's normally at least one person free.
