"Fantastic experience with bowel cancer operation"

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

Following a routine colonoscopy the team identified a cancer in my bowel. I have a CCT scan within a week and saw a consultant shortly after. Within a month from the discovery I had my operation and recovered in the surgical high care ward for a week. The facilities in the surgical ward were excellent as were all the staff. I was handled with care and professionalisim thoughout the process and have the highest praise for everyone involved at the hospital, which I found to be very well run, clean, efficient and a happy and calm environment.

Thank you for taking the time to post on Patient Opinion. It is fantastic to hear that your experience was so positive during what must have been a very difficult time for you. It is reassuring that you found the teams you came into contact with Professional and caring and the departments clean and calm. I will share your experience with the teams involved

Thank you for taking the time to tell us your about experience and I wish you a continued recovery.
