"Shock!"

It is shock and upset that I write this review! For the last 4 months I have been waiting for a double aorta bypass not a simple operation one that comes with risk to my life. I have had two pre ops in this time because the first one ran out waiting for an appointment date and in the end I had to ring to get my operation date. It was clear when I spoke to admissions that they'd obviously forgotten to send the letter with my date. Well 14 hours before my admission time they phone to cancel and was told I haven't got another date because the admissions person wasn't there, I understand emergency's happen. I phone admissions to get a date, obviously by now my emotions are all over the place , I have a young son to think about and have been through the "what if" scenarios many times now. So I phone them who made it quite clear with their tone of voice that they really didn't care, showed no compassion what so ever and then informed me that they cant give me a date and I'll just have to wait....really? Like I haven't waited long enough, surely has my surgery was cancelled I should get one asap...no apparently not. Basically they told me I'll have to put my life and families lives on hold for the next 4 months. Completely disappointed with the lack of communication and compassion.
