"Thank you"

About: Horton General Hospital

My sister, who has Down's Syndrome, was admitted to A&E today at the Horton. She hates hospitals so I was dreading it. The staff were so great though. Kind, cheerful, humorous, patient, sensible, respectful. They did everything they could to help, they went the extra several miles. I really am so grateful. They had a huge amount to deal with but still had time to make sure that we all ate and had cups of tea. When she had to have a chest X ray they managed to make it almost enjoyable for her. She smiled most of the time she was there. I saw a team of people working hard together to do a difficult job brilliantly. They made it look easy. It isn't. Well done NHS and just thank you to you all.

Thank you very much for your feedback and apologies for such a long delay in replying. It’s heartening to read how well your sister responded to her treatment, and how skilled the staff in question were.

We will pass your comments on to the relevant team.
