nothing on the 12th. 2 2010 my daughter was amited to the childrens ward for a sleep study at 6pm. we got there for 5.20pm.a nurse let us in on to the ward took the letter and ask my daughter name and then they showed us her room were my daughter was going to be staying over night.my husband left and my daughter and i go settled down and we were playing games and chating. so my daughter would feel ok about what was going to happen as it was all new to her and she is only 12 yrs old, at 6.30pm a nurse came in asking questions about my daughters background and mum dad brothers and sisters and how old were they i asked why has bits of this info have to do with my daughter the nurse said i dont no its just paper work we have to fill in and left the room. we didnt see another nurse till 8.30pm she came in said hello to myself and my daughtershe bought in a tv computer and carmea on a stand. we were talking for a bit then i ask if my daughter chloe should changed in to her pj's she replyed yes please as she needs to be ready when i put the wires up to the computer and tv because it starts to recored at 10.30pm. she said she would be back in 10 mins to explain every thing she left my daughter went to go and get ready for bed, then got on to the bed. bit later the nurse came back in and ask if my daughter was ok, she said yes and smiled at the nurse, the nurse went over to my daughter and poke her and then spoke to her like my daughter was 3 years old. the nurse told my daughter she has to put these stickers on her chest with the wires for the moniter then told chloe there is nothing to worry about, this is just to see how you sleep.the nurse went on to turn the computer on to show us what was going to happen, and show we could see my daughter on tv.then she got all the wires out and the velcrow to go round my daughter which it didnt she put another bit to it then told us that they were for a little child and baby not for older children,they have given us the wrong ones

What could be improved

for you the nurse said she will be back in a minute and the paper works not with it all so i will go and look. the nurse told us it will all start to recored at 10.30pm. i looked up at the clock and it said it was 9.40pm i rang my husband to tell him that they still havent done any thing cant find the paper work and that i would ring him back, my husband was going to come to the hospital at 10pm but i told him it doesnt start recording till 10.30pm. chloe was looking out of the window for her dad,not here yet i said, 10.30pm till no nurseshe never came back i wasnt happy i was in a wheel chair so i could get arond much.it was 11.20pm and another nurse came to the room sat on the bed told us she was sorry sorry sorry but we cant find the paper work to the sleep study.she said she has changed over shift so this nurse said she thn told us that we will have to go home, i looked up at the clock and it said11.30pm and said its look u this long to tell us and we sat there, i told my daughter to get ready to go home the nurse left the room i was so NOT HAPPY about us sitting there they took the mick.we went to the desk and i asked another nurse before we go i want my daughter letter back she said she will get the named nurse no i said i just wont the letter.she came out the nuse did said hello mum did u wont to see me i said no just want the letter, she got it and bent down at my like i was a small child, not happy. the nurse told me that i could leave my 12 year old daughter in there care and she would be fine. next time she said the funny thing is i am so glad i stayed as they didnt seem to bothered about my daughter. 11.45pm we left the ward and we stood waiting for my husband and my other children as they had to come with him.

9.30pm monday morning i had a phone call from a nurse from the bostonian 15.2.2010. she said the other end of the phone hello i was told what happend she was sorry about it, she said the wires were to small for your daughter she went on to.

say they wouldnt go round herand she was a bigger girl i was so angery at this point. i said that it wasnt right and i told them what happend it was nothing to do with my daughter being bigger as she isnt she is tall and slim.NOT FAT i told her that the nurse said they got sent the wrong wires for a baby small child, she told me to make a complaint so i am my daughter has to do it all again 24.2.2010 at 6pm i am a very upset mum and i want some thing done about this.
