"A well oiled machine"

Further to my surgery in the day surgery unit of Royal Surrey Hospital under the care of the orthopedic team last week,

I would like to thank the staff for the professional and efficient care I received.

My experience was impressive at every stage of the process; from seeing a consultant in the outpatients clinic, to making appointments, as well as my care on admission to the day surgery unit prior to the operation, in recovery and then back on the unit after the operation.

The many staff that I came into contact with, were efficient, communicated well with me and each other and were both professional and kind.

The day surgery unit and theater appeared very clean and the staff kept me informed as to what was going on. The theater staff were thoughtful, giving me an extra blanket to keep me warm.

However small my operation was compared to others, I'm sure I speak for most patients in that we do feel vulnerable when having an general anesthetic, but I was made to feel very safe. Thank you to the Royal Surrey hospital Friday afternoon day surgery team.
