"Worst Doctor I had seen in my life time"

About: Newham General Hospital

I went to this hospital twice and not happy with the approach done by the doctors. The one which I met today was the worst ever seen in my life. The way the doctor approached and their dual tone made us to leave the hospital. The doctor should be more proactive and need to utilise resources to identify the ailment. Instead asked my wife to visit the GP and request for a scan. The doctor whom I met is of no use and we wasted 4 hrs.

The Doctor and this for my wife.

Please don't appoint doctors like this who cannot cure disease neither provide any feedback to the patients. I am shocked on the way the doctor treated my wife today. My wife having severe stomach pain and in spite telling she vomited twice no care given.

This doctor doesn't even know how to check my wife previous medical records, and forcing my wife to tell all medicines that she had. Doesn't NHS do the basic history check ?

I am sorry you were not satisfied with your experience when at the Emergency Department at Newham. If you found the doctor’s tone or manner offensive that is unacceptable and I can only apologise. I must point out however that it is frequently not a simple matter to utilise resources to identify an ailment. Often time is what is needed, as symptoms change with time.

As for checking previous medical records we do of course have access to every attendance at Newham hospital your wife has ever made: we do not have access to records of other hospitals. It is standard practice, regardless of what is recorded in the record, for practitioners to ask patient’s about their history and medication. This is vital for ensuring that we are aware of the patient’s level of knowledge and understanding of their condition, to check if anything has changed since the last record was made and to make sure there was nothing missed by the last doctor or nurse who saw the patient.
