I was advised to go to the walkin centre by a pediatrist as it was a Saturday and my GP was closed.
The receptionist could hardly be bothered to give me a form because i had walked in complaining of a bad foot.
I was told 4 hour wait sit in area B.
This was at 13.55pm. At 15.55pm the waiting time on the overhead screen changed to 3-4 hrs. I took this as a good sign as they must be getting through the patients quickly.
At 17.20pm somebody started checking names of people still in area B. I was 3rd on the list so i remained patient for my turn. People came and went. At 18.25pm,over 4 and a half hours later,i limped out and went home.
Nobody cared. There was no communication of what was happening or why it was taking so long.
I had been in pain for a couple of days and had gone to chemists and pediatrists so as not to be a burden to the NHS and yet the end result of being sent there was a total show of indifference.
Absolutely shocking service and you have the nerve to ask patients to tell you when they have gave up and are walking out so you can re arrange appointments.
Sort yourselves out,you are dealing with people not irritations.
"Total disgrace!"
