Arrived in good time for my scan. Receptionist very welcoming. Venflon sited and radiactive sugar injected with no problem with. On entering the scan room the bed cover had not been changed. Was unable to understand all that the technician said. Had venflon removed after scan. On getting up from the bed felt very dizzy, and whilst sitting on the chair the venflon site was noticed to be bleeding this was quickly redressed and the bleeding stopped. Just as well this happened whilst still in the scan area as once outside the controlled area, there as no one available. Information on the appointment times would have been helpful in the leaflet, as well as not travelling by public or private transport for more than one hour. My journey (one way), by train and bus took about two hours, but was not continuous, where as the bus would have taken 78 minutes each way. I enjoyed the distraction in the pre scan room of a money spider dangling above the water container!
