My son was given the Meningococcal Vaccine at school yesterday, together with several boosters. On arriving home he had a rash to his back and trunk, which was clearly spreading.
I telephoned Dr. Clarke's practice at 5pm and was welcomed by a friendly receptionist and was told to bring him to the surgery for 5. 20pm. He was seen at 5. 20pm by Dr. Cox, who confirmed an allergic reaction to the vaccine and was given Anti-histamine and provided reassurance to both myself and son.
I found this service to be excellent.
