Following a far form ideal wait (11 months) I received gallbladder surgery last weekend.
Despite there been many patients to be admitted on a Sunday at 7.30am nursing/healthcare team worked efficiently to complete the necessary paperwork's and complete pre op procedures.
Both the anaesthetist and the surgeon further explained their roles and expectation with good bedside manner.
I was pleased that a family member/friend was able to remain on the ward for the duration of stay - supporting patient choice in an inclusive way.
In particular (can't recall names) the anaesthetist for their banter and humour delivered sensitively whilst remaining professional and the nurse who despite a heavy demanding work load delivered care in a kind personable way are a credit to your staffing dynamics and certainly appreciated by me!
