Last July our first child was born by caesarian section at St. John’s Hospital, in Livingston. She was three weeks premature. A lack a placental fluid and being breech necessitated her birth but the nurses and surgeons carefully explained our options and we felt that our daughter and my wife were in really good hands. It turned out we were right to be at ease, as the whole process went smoothly and my daughter is a healthy bouncy 11 month year old and my wife, is fully recovered. I could not fault the hard work and dedication we witnessed at St. Johns Hospital. We were attended to by so many medical staff I don’t remember all the names, except Dr Jay (surgeon), Leanne who recorded our daughter's first vitals, Carroll and Rachel in recovery, Cheryl, Doris and especially Anne in the mothers and babies ward, and the tall anaesthetist who laughed at my wife’s jokes while on the table. Thanks for allowing us to take a few photos in the operating theatre too.
