About: Powys Teaching Lhb

(as the patient),

Sadly through no fault of my own, I find myself dependent on the surgery and the doctors and staff for my health and well being. Firstly the doctors I have seen have treated me with compassion and with a level of professionalism that's hard to be surpassed, however my encounter with the front desk left me feeling like a gnat on their shoulder, never did I felt like they wanted to help me in the slightest.

I would like to remind them that people like myself do not attend the surgery without due cause, and my taxes that I've paid in over the years have gone into the nhs for just such a moment in my life. I feel sad at how stretched the nhs has become, and believe years of underfunding have left the nhs in a very poor state, though the people within it generally carry on despite the heavy work loads placed upon them I can assure you that people like me are so very grateful for what you do, so it's with great sadness that I've chosen to complain. For almost eight months I never claimed a penny in benefits and chose to live off my savings, it was need that drove me to request sick notes and I'm forced to deliver them on time, if I fail, I don't eat, it's that simple so having been told that maybe if I come back later that one may be ready I sent great. I could take being told later, next day, next weds, as I could inform the unemployment office and not be penalised, but to be left without any time line and shunned away like I don't belong there I sent acceptable. I hope what I've wrote is taken in the right contex. Many thanks
