What I liked
i was referred to a suite for a hysteroscopy investigation.
it had adequate waiting area and i was seen by the consultant who referred me.
What could be improved
first impressions count...............
the staff were gathered around the untidy desk eating there sandwiches and drinking their coffee, ok we all need a break but when your nervous and unhappy i would like to be dealt with by a tidy organised team.
the waiting room was dirty and untidy........in fact horrible and lacking care. there was even magazines from christmas on the table. crisps all over the floor .
the worst and most alarming part for me was the staff conversations that were loud , brash and totally without care for the patients in the waiting area.
i could here them discussing appointments for patients that had been booked incorrectly again showing poor efficiency and then a conversation that referred to me spoken in some tutting code.
i was very very nervous about my appointment and this made me feel very very unhappy.
unfortunately i felt quite poorly after my examination so was not well enough to pass on my feelings.
the dept let me down why do we have to experience this my dentist runs a more efficient practice, who is responsible.?
during my examination the staff nurse was unable to use the photograph machine / printer to photograph my womb, it wasnt working properly again why was this.?
Anything else?
i have had experiences before at calow where staff are not discreet in their conversations i really feel that proffessionnal behaviour and efficiency are so important.
