"Oncology booking problem solved"

About: Barnet General Hospital

My usual follow-up Breast Clinic appointment for June did not arrive. Trying to get this solved I was passed around the hospital to phones that were not answered or rang for over five minutes finally winding up with a rude telephonist telling me there was nothing they could do. Having wasted two hours of my time over three days I complained in this site.

My complaint was dealt with swiftly and I was referred to the PALS team. Prior to contacting them I thought I would have another go at sorting the matter out myself. This time I did get through to the Breast Clinic who referred me to Oncology.

I am now writing to compliment a member of staff in Oncology, who listened to my problem, wrote it down, took contact details, told me their name and explained that the consultant involved no longer worked at Barnet and this had caused some difficulties. Three days later my appointment arrived. You definite need more staff like this. I am really grateful.
