"New baby"

After giving birth to my first baby I visited several wards. Firstly my experience of delivery ward was excellent, staff were friendly, professional and listened to my requests. I then had to stay on the postnatal ward, although staff were busy they were happy to help when I requested it.

Due to some problems with baby’s feeding we found ourselves back at North Tees in the paediatric day unit, this was quite traumatic as we had a 5 hour wait with very little communication to what was happening with a poorly baby, but were eventually sent to the children’s ward overnight, where we were cared for very diligently by some exceptional staff.
