"my husband is still in hospital ..."

About: Peterborough District Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

my husband is still in hospital a month after his opperation as he has picked up an infection in his wounds, the nurses on his ward are caring but very overstretched, sometimes to the point of not being able to give basic care, utill this last episode we have both been very happy with the care received on the NHS,but have lost faith in it now both with the care ,cleanliness of things in general and in the state of disrepair within this hospital.I hope that no other member of my family ever has the misfortune to have to be an in-patient there

What could be improved

apart from the care of the nuring staff, who I think deserve a medal, just about everything else

Response from Peterborough District Hospital

The Trust takes the experiences of patients and visitors to our hospitals very seriously and we aim to provide a safe, caring and effective service. However, we do recognise there are occasions when an experience may not have met the expectations of our patients or visitors and we are keen to understand how we can make things better.

To help us continually improve our services for current and future patients and visitors we need feedback and are happy to look into any matter where a patient or visitor is disappointed with the service they received.

This feedback has been forwarded to the relevant department to look into in further detail. Please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01733 875847 or email pals@pbh-tr.nhs.uk who will provide help and advice regarding any issue.

Thank you for visiting NHS Choices.
