"So disillusioned"

I received a letter telling me I had 7 days from the letter date to phone and book an appointment. After several tries, I called in the morning, twenty minutes later I gave up I had reached the head of the queue several times, the phone would ring but no one picked up then I was back to ten minutes plus wait again!!

Again in the afternoon the exact same thing happened But I was determined and waited for twenty five minutes, nothing back to The Voice telling me I was plus ten in the queue. I think I can now quote their verbatum. Also due to the weekend and the bank holiday I now only have two days before my referral goes back to my GPs

Questions. Is there only one person answering the phones?

Is there not an alternative to booking this way?
