"Still waiting for follow up appointment"

My first appointments to see doctor and have scans etc were really good and the staff were friendly and it couldn't have been better. I went in for day surgery on varicose veins on both legs, no problem with right leg but when it came to my left leg, well, the procedure went fine on the 21st of May and I was told by the doctor that the doctor would see me again in about 8 weeks to make sure that everything was fine and the doctor would check my right leg as well as it may need another procedure. All well and good you may think but the operation was in 2015 not 2016, I know we all have to wait but surely there is a limit!!!

I have tried ringing the secretary a number of times and always get answering machine,

I then had some other health issues and am now trying again, is this a record for a follow up visit I wonder?

I am so very sorry that this has happened and for any distress it may have caused you, it is not the standard of service we want to provide for our patients. I have spoken to my colleague who manages the Central Patient Booking Service which is responsible for appointments. He has suggested that you ring 01274 274274 and ask for the Vascular Booking Team. I do hope that you receive an appointment soon, thank you.
