"ERCP Procedure"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

I was admitted into the Interventional Radiology Department as a day case for an ERCP yesterday. The first time I have ever visited Preston Royal and my first time under going this procedure. To say I was extremely nervous is an understatement!

However, from the moment of admission, through to discharge, I was thoroughly cared for by the most amazing group of staff. Each person made a great effort to put me as ease. Although the procedure is a little uncomfortable, the staff did everything possible to make it a smooth journey.

If I could name every member of staff who cared for me in this review I would, but the lovely sedatives given to me throughout the procedure, have dulled my memory in the most relaxing way! But I would like to give a special thank you to the Staff Nurse and the Consultant. Thank you for explaining everything so thoroughly and for your care and attention. I felt truly cared for as an individual and not just a number.

Thank you.
