"Clean and caring"

About: Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital

I visited Cramlington hospital today having sliced my finger. The walk in centre were unable to treat me. I was upset to be referred to the hospital because I'd already waited at the walk in for a considerable time, however I was seen promptly after arrival and treated within 90 minutes. The nurse was very hygenic and personable. They were reassuring and acted quickly when I felt faint. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the hospital apart from some litter on the waiting room seats, but you cant account for the types of people who utilise/abuse the service.

Dear Mrs H,

Thank you kindly for sharing this with us, I am sorry that you experienced a wait at the walk-in centre before being transferred to us. I am pleased that our team at The Northumbria hospital were able to treat you promptly and professionally. I hope your finger is much better.

Sorry about the litter you mentioned, I will pass this to our domestic team who will be extra vigilant in future.

All the best,

Annie,

Annie Laverty – Director of Patient Experience
