"PUCC /A&E DEPT"

About: Homerton University Hospital

I have been attending the walk in clinic for the past 3 weeks for daily dressing change, and have found the staff nurses to be extremely helpful and friendly, leaving me with a smile on my face due to their kind and comforting words regarding my healing.

However, I must say that it is galling to find that on many an occasion I have witnessed only one nurse attending to a high number of patients from both the walk in clinic and A&E. This leads to overburdened staff and irate patients as they sit and wait for 3 and a half hours to be attended to due to lack of staff. This is a serious cause for concern since there is a dangerous possibility of patient care and health and safety measures being compromised. This is certainly an area within the hospital which is in dire need of rectification!
