"QMC have always been very good to us"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Maternity care Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Ophthalmology Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

This week my 9 year old daughter got a scratch on her eye. The GP advised that I take her to the Eye Clinic at the QMC. I was very impressed by their service and their care. Staff were really good at putting us both at our ease and were so gentle and kind with my daughter. She now has some eyedrops and her eye is getting better. Particular thanks to Gita and Velentina.

I must say QMC have always been very good to us from my first experience of the hospital with ante natal appointments, to the birth of my twins and accessing care when my children needed it over the years, Children's A&E and Paediatrics- Out patients on one occasion. In my experience staff are dedicated and committed to what they do. I'm very grateful to you, thank you.

Thank you. We are very fortunate to have such committed and dedicated staff. I’ve shared your feedback with the various teams you mention, including the EENT team, Nottingham Children’s Hospital staff and colleagues on the QMC maternity unit.

I thought I’d let you know that our annual staff awards are open for nominations. Considering your experience, you might wish to make a nomination (which would fall under the Family Health Division award). Should you wish to do so you can find all the details you need on our website: http://www.nuh.nhs.uk/nuhonours/

My best wishes to you and your daughter,

Kerry Webb.

Matron, Children’s Hospital.
