Dear Ann Taylor, I wanted to write to say how impressed I was with the care and services that my grandmother is receiving on Jubilee ward. My grandmother is bed ridden due to a broken hip and as transferred to Penrith from Carlisle Infirmary in early Feb. On her visiting her I was immediately impressed with the level of hygiene and cleanliness. The wards and corridors were very clean and organised. The staff were very helpful and kind, even though it was obvious they were run off their feet. The staff nurse in particular (Catherine) spent time explaining things and reassuring me. The support staff too were very good, helping me to wash my grandmothers hair and looking after her. The physio (Laura) and the OT’s (Clare and Mark) also showed concern and care that was very much appreciated. Thank you for the opportunity to write down our experiences. Yours with thanks.
