"Great care received at Lincoln county hospital"

About: United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust

(as the patient),

I was referred by my GP for urgent review in ambulatory care at Lincoln county hospital. From the moment my wife and I walked into the department, we were treated with the utmost care and compassion.

The tests I required, bloods, ECG, X Ray, CT scan were carried out quickly and professionally.

We were offered refreshments by the staff, and each stage of the procedures were explained to us.

My diagnosis of blood clots on my lung, due to cancer/chemo was explained to us both. An oncologist nurse also came to discuss my diagnosis. I was shown how to do my daily injections I will need.

We cannot thank the staff enough. One hears so much criticism of the NHS, we wanted to take this opportunity to praise rather than criticise.

We have made many many visits to Lincoln county in the past few months, something no one wants to do, but in our experience this hospital is just great.
