After months and months of constant kidney infections - I had a kidney infection that would not respond to any pain killers / antibiotics - I thought I can't take anymore pain and I visited A & E at the MRI. I arrived early morning - and was quickly assessed. At first look at my XRay - I was told I was severely constipated. Then another Dr - said they had found something and I was admitted to hospital. All the staff in A & E were great. I was sent for a CT Scan (the weirdest sensation ever - dye!). I was moved to another ward and the Urology team came to inform me I had a large kidney stone - and the procedures they were going to perform! At last I knew what was wrong with me.
I stayed in an over spill ward that night (the staff were great) - I was sent from there to have a Nephrostomy tube placed in kidney. I was such a baby before procedure - cried - and the staff were so understanding. The staff performing procedure were so good looking after me and keeping me calm.
I was then transfered to ECT ward and stayed there for 2 more days. The staff were so good in the ward.
I cannot praise all the staff, drs, nurses, cleaners, porters. There were people with far worse than me on the ward - and the staff were great with them.
We are so lucky to have the NHS.
Just waiting for my stone removal op.
I cannot fault my time at the MRI. Thank you.
"Thanks for finding out what was wrong with me!"
