"Old fashioned treatment of carers. Couldn't get..."

Disgusting treatment. Wouldn't let us visit my mother because we were 1/2 hour too early. Spoke to a person on intercom who wouldn't let us in even though I said I hadn't seen my mum for five weeks as I'd had pneumonia. All they could say was that it wasn't their problem, and that they didn't make the rules.

Would you leave your mother in this persons care? I would not recommend this place to anybody.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

I have spoken with the team regarding your concerns and they have been noted. The facility is a medical rehabilitation unit and unfortunately visiting hours are restricted, this is to help create a therapeutic environment.

We would always recommend contacting the ward ahead of a visit, if outside of visiting hours, so the staff can accommodate both the needs of the family and the patient.
