"Treated with the utmost curtsey"

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

Had surgery at the Vic about eight weeks ago for the removal of a Bunion, the big toe broken and pinned and a further three toes fused and Pinned. Not major surgery in the scheme of things but not minor either. From start to finish I was treated with the utmost curtsey and had everything explained explicitly, (in duplicate), nothing was too much trouble. The surgery went exactly as I was told it would and the aftercare was exemplary. It was evident that this was a very professional team that was dedicated to patient care. After years of being unable to walk correctly and putting on weight because of the lack of proper exercise, I am now starting to walk correctly. In today's world where the NHS takes a verbal bashing on a daily basis I just wanted to express my appreciation. Well done team Murphy and thank you so much

Thank you for taking the time to “Tell us” about your recent experience.

I know that the teams involved will be delighted to hear how they were able to meet your care and treatment needs and that you were kept informed.

It is also always good hear when there has been a positive outcome and that you have seen an improvement in your day to day activities.

I will ensure that I share this with the teams involved.

Thank you and I wish you a continued recovery.

Andrew
