Having undergone surgery on two previous occasions at Fulwood Hall I had no hesitation in opting for it when offered on this occasion.

From arrangement of first consultation through to discharge I was treated with professional, understanding, concerned care and dignity.

My medical history is complex, and my pre-op assessment was conducted patiently and thoroughly, with full advice about the planned operation and the relevance of my medical information and the tests that were undertaken at that point.

When I attended for day-case surgery that information had clearly been provided to and understood by all staff involved, and that preparation gave me confidence and reassurance.

Surgery was timely and successful; initial recovery - continuously monitored - was followed by full information and advice on post-discharge conduct, and on medication and dressings provided, which enabled me to understand my own role and responsibility in my rapid and virtually pain-free return to full mobility.

Team-work is excellent, each member of staff involved ensuring effective coordination and liaison, and conveying a clear, uniform mood and message to the patient of their commitment to caring and successful treatment.
