Thank you BMI for outstanding care. I went in for gallbladder surgery. I was taken to my own room, assigned a nurse who explained everything to me and ran through some very thorough checks.
I went down for surgery, spent an hour in recovery, very well cared for before I went back to my room. The nursing staff were amazing. I was checked constantly and the nurse I was assigned encouraged me to do everything I needed to before I could go home. I was feeling very nauseous so she brought me peppermint tea and sea bands. I could not eat the lunch I ordered so they offered me a whole load of other things before I settled on a slice of toast. It felt like nothing was too much trouble. Best of all my husband was able to stay with me and was very much part of my care as well. It was all very personal and meant so much. I was given waterproof glue dressings so I can shower and the wounds are not painful as expected. Amazing!
The only thing that disappointed me was that my surgeon did not come to see me before I went home. I would have liked them to explain in their words how they felt everything went and I would have liked to thank them for what they did. However, I am home, I seem to be doing well and that's all that really matters. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the BMI Harbour hospital and if I ever needed to, use again. Thank you all.
"Brilliant care from start to finish"
