"Never leave valuables in the hospital"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

The nurses who took care of my dad, who died in the Heart and Lung Unit, were marvellous.

However, the watch my dad was wearing, which was of great sentimental value, has gone missing and has never been found.

My dad was supposed to be buried with the watch but now it will not be possible.

Just make sure that you take all items of value before you leave a loved one, or you just might not see them again.

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback at what must be a very difficult time for you and your family. Please accept our sincerest condolences on the sad loss of your dad.

We are so sorry to hear that your dad’s watch is missing and for the upset this has caused. If you get in touch with our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on freephone 0800 073 0510, they will do their best to help find it.
