"Detached Retina surgery - excellent at first,..."

I had surgery for a detached retina in Nov 15.
Excellent surgical care.
Follow up appointment in January revealed something was't quite right.
The issue was unknown and it was suggested if no improvement in 2 months, after a March appointment, more surgery would be needed.
It is now mid May and still waiting for the March appointment.
I am paying for eye tests at opticians just for them to check if the retina is still attached.
It hasn't improved.
Every time, bar one,
I call to check for the appointment I get told they are busy and 'I am on the list'.
I spoke to a nice person a couple of days ago who was surprised it has been left unchecked for so long and said they would try and find another doctor to take the appointment.
Said they would call back the following day - still no phone call.
When I call to ask, I get told there is a back log, and.......I am on the list
The initial very impressive impression is now being replaced with frustration and concern.
I know something is wrong, no idea if it is serious or if I need more surgery.
Aside from this issue, I understand there is a high risk of redetachment within the first 6 and 12 months yet nobody at the eye hospital has looked at the eye for four months
