My husband spent 24 endless, dreadful days here in April. 7 hours to be moved from A&E to B3 - the 4-hour waiting target is a sick joke and stats related to its achievement simply fiddled - dumped in the appalling F21 in the early hours, in a noisy, uncomfortable place where no-one appeared to care, he was regularly ignored made, rarely given any rrelevant information and generallyed treated as some sub-human nuisance.Treatments imposed included a daily injection of some anti-clotting drug;had staff done their job and not left patients in bed for hours, this would not have been necessary. The worst thing was the pig-swill passed off stitas food, none of it edible to anyone with taste-buds. Cold, colourless, tasteless cheap rubbish I wouldn't give my cats.Desite my bringing in what I could, my husband lost two stone in this dump, having had no fresh fruit, no fresh vegetables, no recognisable meat or fish and endless reconstituted potato, "soup" and "ice cream" made of synthetics and containing no milk or anything else of nutritional valueless, though the "dietitian" employed heaven knows why tried to claim the dross was acceptablethe majority of the staff were offhand, dismissive or rude, and all flamed to know, whatever they were asked, nothing about the answer, which was universally not their responsibility.
