I was very lucky to be allocated to C25 ward as part of my nursing training. The ward is very well run and clean. The main priority for the ward and its staff are the patients and giving them the best and optimum care even if this meant the nurses went without a break. All of the staff Doctors, Surgeons, Cleaners, Nursing and Auxiliary staff and agency staff are friendly, kind, professional and fantastic at their jobs. I was given the opportunity to observe many different procedures and treatments and was never made to feel like I was a burden or in the way. The ward leader was great with me and made the time to speak to me about how well I was doing on the ward, she is very staff and patient oriented and always has what is best for them in mind. My mentor Chris was brilliant with me, she guided me in a way I didn't realise that she was doing it but felt the full benefit of her knowledge and guidance. she was never critical and discussed procedure's and treatments with me enabling me to learn without being lectured too.
I recommend C25/24 to any nursing or med student as a place to learn, feel part of a team and extend your knowledge.
Thank you too all at C25/24 keep up the good work
