"Didn't like the attitude of the doctor"

About: Neath Port Talbot Hospital / Gynaecology Singleton Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

After going to Neath Hospital I was sent to Singleton to see a gynecologist as I was already told I was going to need a hysterectomy. After I had my MRI, I was told it wasn’t cancer, I thought all I was going to Singleton for was for the results but the gynecologist asked a few questions and said I needed to be examined. My husband was not invited in for this, my stomach was just pressed on and the doctor bent down by my knees and just opened me up with their fingers, just for about a second and I think looked at my labia and clitoris.

When we came out the doctor said I didn’t have cancer and needed to go for a hysteroscopy. When I got home I was so upset and had to bath and scrub bellow, if the doctor knew I had to have this procedure I wonder why I needed to be examined. I felt that the attitude of the doctor was bad and in my opinion did not have any bedside manner or respect at all. I have now been transferred back to Neath where I have asked for all female staff again and the say the can’t promise anything but will try their best or I won’t be going, as bad as I am.
