"Waiting times and doctor's attitude"

About: Southport & Formby District General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I went to see the doctor in April. Someone sent a letter to confirm the appointment. I got there at 10. 55am booked in; the receptionists were very kind. I was still waiting at midday, went to the desk, then someone from the admin came to see me and apologised, they got me a cup of tea, I was still there at 1pm, I finally went in at 1. 30pm. Doctor asked what medication I was on, told them what my pain has been like, and that for 3 days it has been a 10, while I was there it was a 5. Then I was asked why I had not been on the course which is on for 6 weeks. So I explained why, then I was told I was not the only one in pain, to which I replied that I am the only one on 2 crutches, and was wearing a boot on my left leg. I was so upset with what they said! I also asked about pain patches, and I was told they would send a letter to my GP. I went to see my GP in may, and he hadn't received any letter, the GP has put me on fentanyl patches.

At the moment I am not using them, because I have read the leaflet, and what the side effects are, because I suffer with my breathing of asmtha, so I use a blue and orange inhaler. I have even asked for a scan to find out what is wrong, because I have got multiple physical problems, with my neck, both wrists and hands, lower back pain (spinal stenosis, 5 things wrong with my left foot and a right hip that needs doing, and also the Achilles).
