All too often journalistic sensationalism express bad stories about healthcare organisations.
Medway have been victims of such press in the last year.
I would like to make public the wonderful care my father has received from the excellent staff of A&E, Byron Ward and finally Milton Ward.
My father has been in Milton ward for several weeks and finally passed away today.
He was well cared for by all staff on the ward, from senior nursing staff to doctors, from healthcare assistants to domestics.
They were all wonderful.
All the patients I saw on the ward were clean, shaved, had clean bedding, urinals and call bells to hand.
All patients had fluids close to them and staff attentive and responsive to needs.
I would not have wanted my father to be anywhere else or looked after by anyone other than this superb group of caring people.
They made the pain and sadness of losing a loved one more bearable knowing how much care he was given.
Thank you to all the staff on Milton Ward from a very grateful family.
"Wonderful care"
