"care of my dad admitted on Sunday 8th May very..."

About: Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

my dad has alizamas and dementia.

he was taken by ambulace on sunday 8th may to Whiston hospital.

we waited in the corridor from after 5 till 6.00am when he had some blood samples take and then we went into bay 1.

the staff very help full with food and changing my dad.

after a ct scan my dad was moved to zone on room 1.

we had to request food and a drink for my dad as for 2 house we seen nobody.

A different doctor came in to see dad and sent him for a chest xray.

We went and then returned to room and had to request again food and drink for my dad.

He can not speak and if we had not been with him he would have just been left as we had seen nobody.

we finally got food at 3.00 which we gave to my dad.

We had to press the buzzer each time my dad needed changing as nobody had come in.

at 5.00 we call a nurse again to change dads bed and him again which they did.

We asked them to move dad to keep an eye on him while we popped home for something to eat and change as we had been with him since 6.00am.

They did dad obs and move him to room 9 still on zone 1.

on or return my dad needed changing and still no food or drink.

at 8.00 we heard that they had got a bed on ward 1c for dad.

Still nobody had been in to see us.

at 9.20 we went out to speak to the staff for any update.

I stayed with dad and had to press the buzzer as he the bed and he needed to be changed.

A charge nurse who had stared at 9.00 was talking to my sister but i had press the buzzer.

The nurse was quite off as they entered the room.

They left my dad for a further half hour before they came in to change him.

My dad can not speak or help himself.

None of this was taken into account he was just left.

he had limited medication and not many obs.

The only reason he had drinks and food was due to us.

He has a right to care!

I can not put into words how upset me and my sister are with the way he has been treat and we did say to staff when they said he was safe we did not think so and we pointed out why.

My dad still had nothing to eat or drink when he was finally put on ward 1c.

They said the would sort it out.

They left him a sleep and he had a drink at breakfast and food finally at 8.00 this is no way to treat a human.

Please call me if you require any more information.

My dad has sill not received his medication and as stated to the staff on more that one occasion he came straight from the care home.

so no food no drink no medication no care.
